I am a native English teacher from the UK with a BA (Hons) degree, a Level 5 TESOL qualification, and a work permit and TRC in my country of residence. I have more than 12 years of teaching experience, specialising in IELTS preparation, Business English, professional communication, and conversational English for adults. During this time, I have worked for accredited IELTS institutions and universities, including the University of Greenwich and Edulink Australia. Through my IELTS teacher training and extensive exam preparation experience, I am able to accurately assess a student’s current level, identify areas for improvement, and provide clear, structured feedback to help them achieve their target band score. Alongside teaching, I own and manage hospitality businesses in Vietnam and have first-hand experience of business communication, customer service, management, recruitment, and working in international environments. I have also worked in government departments, financial institutions, international NGOs, multinational corporations, and private businesses. Outside work, I have a strong interest in literature, both reading and writing, as well as sport, music, food and travel.

Arvin Nikko C. Tacorda, LPT, MAEd is an experienced Filipino educator and certified ESL instructor with over seven years of teaching experience in academic and international learning environments. He is a Licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines and holds a Master of Arts in Education major in Social Science from The National Teachers College in Manila. He also holds a TESOL/TEFL certification, equipping him with specialized strategies for English language instruction. Arvin has taught English to teenage and adult learners from diverse cultural backgrounds through online platforms, helping students improve their speaking fluency, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and conversational confidence. His teaching style is interactive, student-centered, and goal-oriented, with lessons carefully customized to match each learner’s proficiency level, interests, and learning objectives. Beyond ESL instruction, his background as a college lecturer in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela and De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde has strengthened his ability to guide learners in academic English, critical thinking, and effective communication.
