Use Find a Tutor to filter by subject, language, level, price, availability and ratings. Read profiles, watch intro videos and check verified reviews to choose.
Open a tutor's profile, pick an available slot, choose your subject and lesson length, then pay securely with card, PayPal or any available method. Once payment is verified your booking is confirmed instantly and a lesson ticket is generated.
When you purchase a package (5, 10 or 20 sessions) you receive 25-minute tickets locked to that teacher. Tickets cannot be transferred. A 50-minute lesson is two consecutive 25-minute tickets.
If the tutor is more than 2 minutes late, the system marks the session as "Missed" on the tutor side. Your ticket is automatically restored as "Reschedulable" so you can rebook with the same tutor at no cost. No cash refund — reschedule only.
If you miss the session, the ticket is consumed and the lesson is marked Missed. Missed sessions cannot be rescheduled. Always cancel at least 12 hours ahead from My Lessons to keep your ticket reschedulable.
Yes — we no longer offer separate trial lessons. You can book a 25-minute lesson as your first session to see if the tutor fits your needs.
Yes — primary school through to retirees. For under-18s we recommend a parent or guardian sets up the account and joins the first lesson.
Every tutor goes through identity and qualification verification. Look for the "Verified" badge, uploaded credentials, teaching experience and authentic reviews. Language buddies are vetted for fluency and friendliness.
No — all communication runs through CfC Support. Open a Support ticket from your dashboard and our team will pass questions to the tutor and reply on the same thread.
No refunds under any circumstance — all purchases are final. Cancel free of charge up to 12 hours before the lesson; within the final 12 hours cancel is locked. Allowed cancellations restore your ticket as Reschedulable, valid only with the same teacher. No Penalty cancellations (website outages, ISP downtime, natural disasters) cancel the lesson without financial penalty to anyone but payment is not issued since the lesson was not conducted. Compassionate grounds (death or hospitalization of immediate family, hospitalization of tutor) are exempt from penalties — supporting documents must be submitted via Cancellation Dispute in the Support section.
If your tutor cancels With Notice (before or during lesson time), your lesson ticket is automatically restored as Reschedulable so you can rebook with the same tutor at no cost. If your tutor cancels Without Notice (fails to join within 2 minutes with no cancellation ticket submitted), the same applies — your ticket is restored. The tutor receives a financial penalty from CfC Learning in both cases. No Penalty cancellations (website outages, ISP downtime, natural disasters) cancel without penalty to anyone but payment is not issued since the lesson was not conducted.
Go to My Lessons. Reschedulable tickets show a Reschedule button — choose a new slot with the same teacher and confirm. No payment required. Bookings must be made at least 30 minutes before slot start.
If a student is more than 10 minutes late the lesson auto-cancels and the ticket is NOT returned. If the teacher is more than 2 minutes late the lesson auto-cancels, the ticket is returned tagged "reschedule" and the status becomes "Teacher missed".
If a student is disconnected for more than 10 accumulated minutes the lesson auto-cancels and the ticket is NOT returned. If the teacher is disconnected for more than 5 accumulated minutes the ticket is returned tagged "reschedule".
Maximum 2 consecutive lessons with the same teacher totalling no more than 50 minutes. A third lesson must be booked separately.
A 25-minute class auto-ends at 25 minutes. A 50-minute class auto-ends at 50 minutes. All ticket changes, status updates and disconnection events save automatically.
