Professional Summary Hello! I'm Shalaka Rao, an experienced educator with a passion for helping students learn, grow, and succeed. With years of teaching experience in diverse and international learning environments, I create engaging, supportive, and personalized lessons that build both knowledge and confidence. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while helping students achieve their academic potential. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and approach. Experienced and passionate IB PYP educator with over 16 years of teaching experience in international settings, including over a decade at Danube International School in Vienna and four years at JBCN International School, Mumbai. I have taught across a range of primary grades, including early years through Grade 6, and have experience planning and delivering concept-based, inquiry-driven learning units aligned with IB philosophies. My teaching journey has taken me through culturally diverse classrooms, where I’ve supported learners of varied abilities — including ESL students, gifted learners, and those needing individualised attention.
